What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the third largest health care profession. Chiropractic focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.

What kind of schooling does a chiropractor receive?
Chiropractic practice is currently formally regulated in approximately 60 countries. The practice of chiropractic is licensed and regulated in all 50 of the United States. To obtain a license in chiropractic the applicant must first complete 2 to 4 years of undergraduate education, complete a 4 year chiropractic college course and receive passing scores on national and State examinations.

Is chiropractic safe?
There are several research studies that show that chiropractic adjustments are not only safe but effective. Research also shows that side effects and complications due to chiropractic adjustments are very rare. 

What is an adjustment?
When subluxations occur, chiropractors use different techniques to return the vertebrae back to their correct position. These techniques are called spinal manipulations or adjustments.

Does getting adjusted hurt?
For a majority of patients there is no pain. However, if you do not relax during an adjustment there can be some mild discomfort. Also if there is recent trauma to the back and inflammation is present there might be some soreness involved. Patients generally state that they notice relief and mobility after an adjustment.

What is subluxation?
A subluxation occurs when the vertebra are not in alignment, thus causing the nervous system to not be able to communicate effectively to all the body parts. 

Is chiropractic appropriate for children?
Yes, in fact that is the best time to get adjusted. By starting good spinal health at an early age you can alleviate many of the ailments that can occur due to not getting adjusted.

Does my insurance cover chiropractic? -  Policies vary from each insurance company however, many insurance companies do offer chiropractic coverage to some degree. We participate with several insurance companies and will bill into your insurance company on your behalf. Whether you have good insurance, bad insurance or none at all, you will get the care that you need and deserve. 

Does my insurance cover massage therapy? - Again policies vary, we will be happy to call your insurance company and verify your coverage for you.

Where is your chiropractic clinic located? -  We are located on 7616 Brockway road (AKA M19) in Yale, Michigan  Our office is on the south end of Yale near the city limit. You will see us on the east side of the road. We are less than a 30 minute drive from Port Huron or Richmond., 

Location side notes: Our chiropractic clinic is in Southeast Michigan in Macomb County nearby counties include Oakland County, St. Clair County, Lapeer County, and Monroe County.

We are also a reasonably short drive from all of the surrounding locations such as: Mt. Clemens, Chesterfield, Roseville, Detroit, Warren, Fraser, New Baltimore, Marine City, Armada, Almont, New Haven, Utica, Rochester, Troy, Almont, St. Clair Shores, Detroit, Lake Orion, Memphis, Imlay City, Lapeer, Flint, Bloomfield Hills etc...

Being located just a few miles from the US/ Canada border, some Canadian cities near us include Sarnia, Wallaceburg, Windsor, Chatam, Sumbra, Leamington, and Tilbury.
